In eight paragraphs corresponding to each of the major sections of the synopsis form, present your personal theory of education. Be sure to answer as many of the questions in each of the sections as you can. You need not format it like the Adler synopsis, but may use a narrative style.

3. Compare and Contrast Educational Theories

Write an essay comparing and contrasting your personal theory of education (see 2 above) with two theorists from this site:

4. Research a new theory of education

Pick an individual from the Theorists in Education Gallery website that does not have an analysis linked to it and do that analysis, using the appropriate format, the synopsis form given at this site:

5. Criteriological Analysis of your new theory of education.

Do a criteriological analysis of some part of the theory of education you did research on in the previous assignment. Be careful to develop both critical and criteriological questions from it.

Are the following definitions good ones?

1. Bullying is the use of physical force by one child on another;
2. To have a value is to behaviorally express a preference.
3. Illegal acts are those which it is unhealthy for society to tolerate.
4. Good teaching only happens when everyone learns what is taught.
5. Learning is a permanent change in behavior.
a. Use counterexamples of both kinds to evaluate these definitions.
b. Amend these definitions by considering the characteristics your counterexamples bring up.

After reading this article, paying particular attention to the various conceptions of punishment described in it, consider the disciplinary practices in a school where you have either been a student, or have worked in. Describe these practices and identify what model of punishment, metaphorical, psychological, etc. they were based on.
