What aspects of a persons life unsuit him or her to be hired as a teacher? Consider also what discoveries we would need to make to bring us to considering not retaining a teacher already on staff.

How much of a candidate's personal life is pertinent? On the other hand, what kinds of faults might we, as principals, superintendents or school board members not be able to overlook?

Sometimes we do not have enough information to make a decision; or the law takes the decision out of our hands.
