So, you've reached that place in your life where you've begun to look at Retirement Communities, and you're finding it much harder than you thought!  You're determined to make an educated choice, but with so many locations and so many options, gathering the information you need can be downright frustrating; so many questions, so many choices.

At Foulkeways we can help.  We are committed to facilitating the right outcome; even if the result leads you to another community.   That's our pledge to you.

Our pricing is transparent at Foulkeways.

Our fees are easy to locate on our website; and, in our brochure.  We believe our value is obvious and wonder why other communities make their pricing so difficult to find.

 • We trust that you will ultimately make a decision that best serves YOUR needs, so we'll never hound you with dozens of phone calls while you're doing your research.

We welcome your inquiries, and encourage your questions, but will not invade your privacy with a series of daily and weekly calls meant to satisfy predetermined "sales" quotas.  Our passion is introducing you to our community, NOT TELEMARKETING!

 • Resident tour guides lead you on your introductory tour of our community; NOT commissioned sales people.  No sales "hype" here.

You're exploring a LIFESTYLE.  You are not looking to purchase a car or a washing machine. Never accept being pressured by an overzealous sales person to make a hurried decision or commitment.

Choosing wisely takes time!  You should never be forced to accelerate YOUR timeline based on a "deal"that is about to "expire."And speaking of "deals," retirement communities do not have "end-of-year inventory" to clear off their "lots.?  Responsible communities devote countless hours to developing secure, sound long and short term budgets; beware the deal that's just too good to be true. Someone will ultimately be paying the price.

   • A tour of our community ALWAYS includes a visit to our Personal Care and Skilled Nursing Care Center s .

End-of-life care is one of the most important, if least mentioned, reasons to consider a move to a CCRC (Continuing Care Retirement Community).  Insist on a tour of these important evaluators.

   • Proof of financial stability should be readily available.  Our information is on our website.

If you can?t easily obtain comprehensive financial disclosures such as Annual Reports and other important documents, you should be asking yourself, "Why not?"

    • Retirement communities are more than a collection of apartments, villas and cottages ; they all have "personalities."

Carefully consider the campus, the location, the current residents who will become your neighbors, the amenities and services that will become available to you, and the staff who will deliver them.  When it comes to identifying which retirement community will provide the best "fit," there are many, many variables to take into consideration.

Sample the food, stroll the grounds, visit the fitness center, check out the pool, meet the people, attend an event or two, and schedule an extended stay, if possible.

Remember, this is going to be your new home for "the second half of your life."

At Foulkeways our goal is to provide you with ALL the information you need to make an informed and educated decision; even if that means you decide to call another community "home."

We truly want what's best for you.  Honest!
